NIR Hyperspectral Imaging Prototype

Hi,
I am new to NIR but have a compelling use case. To elaborate the use case , I want to build a prototype using Raspberry NOIR CMOS sensor, TI DLP4500NIR DMD and broadband LED source.
I am not clear on the ordering of the remaining optical components and was looking for a reference design.

Dear WJ -As most beginners tend to do, you're starting at the wrong end of the chain.  You want to start with the hardware and software and define an instrument. There are hundreds of those around, with all sorts of configurations. But what you need to do is to start with type of sample you want to measure and the nature of the application you want to address. Then you can sensibly define the necessary masurement parameters and, from that, the characteristics of the instrument you'll need to make the measurement. This approach isn't as glamorous (or as easy!) as just throwing together some pieces and hoping they'll work for you. But unless your project is for just a science-fair level need, it's the best chance you'll have to do it successfully. There are several consultants around (including myself) who can help you with this, and probably at least some of them are monitoring this disucssion; they will all tell you the same thing. Hi Hlmark,
Thanks for your quick response. I am basically a software professional and wanted to develop an application which can detect pathogens
in food and water by in-situ inspection. I zeroed on to NIR Hyperspectral imaging after extensive study of techniques available . I am new
to NIR ould approciate all the help, suggestions for the prototype.
Following are the requirements:
1. Objective: Build low cost NIR hyperspectral imaging prototype
2. Spectra:410 to 1000nm
3. Acquisition mode: Area Scanning
4. Dispersive Device: Looking at MEMS devices for programable diffraction grating. I could find onlt TI DLP4500NIR device
listed for purchase (though the price tag does not quite fit the 'low cost' requirement -:)! )
5. Optics: Need to decide based on 4
4. Detector: CMOS Sensor
As I already have a Raspberry Pi 3 kit alongwith a NOIR camera I would like to have the prototype built around raspberry pi 3.

Hi,
I came across a good product @ https://fringoe.com/. But I am not sure if the product is commecialized and available for ordering. I could not get any response from the FrinGO website.
Are Mach Zehnder interferometer using MEMS technology available commercially?
