Winners of IM Publications NIR Poster Prize

The Seventh International Conference on Advanced Vibrational Spectroscopy (ICAVS-7), held in Kobe, Japan, between 25 and 30 August 2013, was a great success with nearly 600 scientists from around 30 countries attending. IM Publications was pleased to support the meeting with two poster prizes for authors presenting novel applications of NIR spectroscopy.
The winners of the IM Publications NIR Poster Prizes were Professor Takuma Genkawa (Tsukuba University, Japan) for his poster titled “Band Assignment of Water and Liquid Oleic Acid using an Online Near-Infrared/Mid-Infrared Dual-Region Spectrometer and hetero 2DCOS” and Professor Naoto Kakuta (Tokyo Metropolitan University, Japan) for his work on “Simultaneous Imaging of Temperature and Water Volume Fraction of Aqueous Solutions Using Near-Infrared Absorption Characteristics of Water”.
