A LISTING OF BUSINESSES ASSOCIATED WITH NEAR INFRARED SPECTROSCOPY, Assembled December 1997, revised December, 2000.
The listings below are very probably incomplete, as they were garnered from many sources. Also, with the growth of the field of NIR, new companies are always coming on the scene, making any "complete" listing incomplete. There has been no effort made to exclude some or include others. If you, the reader, know of businesses and their product(s) not listed but should be, send me an email at [email protected] for inclusion in a revised listing.
Addresses are not given, as one can find them in various catalogs and updating the list (let alone finding addresses for all of them) would be a big task. The exceptions are for the consultants; their addresses may be harder to find. Additionally, the consultants category is probably the most incomplete, as I don't know where to get a listing except from companies who make a business out of knowing consultants (such as Teltech).
A short explanation of some terms: If a grating-based system was known to be of a scanning nature, it was indicated by the term "moving grating." The word grating by itself means that it was unknown if the system was a scanning one, dispersion onto a detector array (diode, CCD, etc), or to a single detector and thus not a spectrum-acquiring system. The abbreviation DA means a diode array system.
