Calculation of wavelength intensity values from pixel counts

We have with us a very old spectrometer, microParts STEAG, 128 elements, from which we are able to obtain the counts for different pixels/elements.
From the datasheet of the spectrometer we are able to obtain the formula for the calculation of the wavelengths corresponding to each pixel.
The question is - how may we calculate the intensity values at a particular wavelength from the count values at each pixel.
It appears to me that some kind of convolution operation with a Guassian window is performed to obtain the intensity values.
Kindly clarify. Any reference material on the subject would be greatly appreciated.
